Felcot – Calacatta Viola

The Felcot is a fireplace design which might look simple from the outset, but its architectural symmetry and discreet curves make it a remarkably elegant piece. It will give architectural interest and scale to any room it is installed in.

This version of the Felcot has been carved in Calacatta Viola marble. This is a prestigious marble from the Apuan Alps in Tuscany. It was used extensively by the Lord of Florence, Cosidi I de Medici, who had a monopoly over the quarries in Seravezza. This gave to this unique stone a status of power and prestige to any building which features it.
