Verton – Pietra di Vicenza

The Verton is a fireplace design with its roots in the Empire movement of the 19th Century. It features clean lines with few carved details on its mantel, and simple fluting detail on the jambs. This style as a result can feel at home in many types of properties, traditional and modern.

This version of the Verton has been carved in the finest Italian limestone Pietra di Vicenza. This limestone comes from stone quarries in the North of Italy, near the eponymous city it’s named after. This stone has been extensively used in the palazzos in the region, not only for its striking beige hues, but also due to its strength making it an ideal construction material.
