Aldon – Calacatta Viola

This version of the Aldon has been carved in Calacatta Viola marble. This is a prestigious marble from the Apuan Alps in Tuscany. It was used extensively by the Lord of Florence, Cosidi I de Medici, who had a monopoly over the quarries in Seravezza. This gave to this unique stone a status of power and prestige to any building which features it.
