Verton – Breccia Capraia

The Verton is a fireplace design with its roots in the Empire movement of the 19th Century. It features clean lines with few carved details on its mantel, and simple fluting detail on the jambs. This style as a result can feel at home in many types of properties, traditional and modern.

This version of the Verton has been carved in Breccia Capraia, a marble from the Apuan Alps in Tuscany. It is a well renown marble, which has been appreciated for its striking purple and grey veins for centuries. It was used extensively in the palaces in around Florence and Sienna as well as in the rest of Italy
